Editorial Policy

We want planning a trip to feel almost as good as taking one.

Independence

Our editors decide what we cover. We may earn commissions through affiliate links (see our affiliate disclosure), but those relationships never determine what we recommend or how we rank it. We don’t accept payment for coverage.

How we research

Our guides draw on official tourism boards, government travel advice such as travel.state.gov, transit authorities and information published by operators.

Unless an article explicitly says otherwise, our guides are based on research rather than hands-on testing. We say so plainly, and we never present research as personal experience.

How our articles are made

We use AI tools to help research and draft some of our content. Every article is reviewed and edited by a human editor before it is published, and we are responsible for everything we publish.

Accuracy and updates

We check facts against authoritative sources and review our guides periodically. Each article shows the date it was last updated. Details that change often, such as prices, promotions and availability, should always be confirmed with the retailer.

Corrections

If you believe something we’ve published is inaccurate, email admin@happytravelnews.com with the page and the details. We review every report and update articles promptly when a correction is needed.
