Copenhagen’s Noma has been named the most effective restaurant of 2022 within the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list.
The three Michelin-starred restaurant, led by innovative Danish chef Rene Redzepi, continues to be praised because of its seasonal and foraged cuisine, which divides its menu into three phases – seafood for your winter, vegetables in the summer and game and forest in the autumn.
The World’s Best 50 Restaurant Director of Content William Drew said Noma has arguably been one of the most influential restaurant of the generation and contains set new standards when it comes to sourcing ingredients, research, dish development and presentation. “It is usually probably the most sought-after dining destinations by consumers throughout the world and we are happy to announce it as being this year’s No.1,” said Drew.
Coming in as runner up was another Copenhagen restaurant, Geranium, led by chef Rasmus Kofoed. The restaurant is recognized for its artistic method of food which results in beautiful dishes having a strong seasonal focus.
Third place visited Asador Etxebarri in Atxondo, Spain. Both Spain as well as the Usa led the way in which, each with six restaurants inside the top 50 list.
A quantity of newcomers also managed to get on the prestigious list for 2022, with eight restaurants making their debut, including Italy’s Lido 84 (15) and South Africa’s Wolfgat (50).
