Dove Lake Circuit, Tasmania

Largely flat, this six-kilometre trail guides you round the shores of Dove Lake and takes a couple of hours – perfect for a household afternoon excursion.

Most from the trek is led with the surrounding bush on boardwalk, and it’s unsurprisingly one of Tasmania’s most favored walks.

Great Ocean Walk, Victoria

Famous for the road that bears exactly the same name, this magnificent coastline may also be conquered by walking.

After opening in 2006, the trail stretches out for a lengthy 104 kilometres west from Apollo Bay – but many walkers select individual sections.

The track provides you with through gum and eucalypt forest, sand dunes, beaches and cliff-top tracks.
